MyVegas Slots Mobile Gets A Facelift
Some of you may have noticed a new look to the MyVegas Slots App, on your mobile devices.
Here is a Blog Post from PlayStudios, sharing their plans, and what is in the works…
February 8, 2017
2.0 Is (Almost) Ready to Go
myVEGAS Slots made its mobile debut in November of 2013. It quickly found a loyal audience and shot to the top of the app store charts. In the years since, we’ve continually refreshed the app with a variety of new content – from games to bonus quests. However, the overall look and feel of the myVEGAS experience has remained largely unchanged. Until now! In the weeks ahead, PLAYSTUDIOS will be rolling out a series of major updates, culminating in the official launch of a completely redesigned myVEGAS Slots 2.0. This new version will include:
- A myVIP program for our most loyal players,
- Additional ways to collect free chips,
- A centralized “inbox” for sending and receiving gifts,
- A few extra 0’s added to your payouts, bets, and balances, and
- A redesigned user interface.
The reasons we are sharing this exciting news now is that beginning today, a small segment of our players – chosen at random – will start to see some of these new features. This process of previewing a major update with only a small group is fairly common practice in the tech world. Google and Facebook do it all the time. It’s a way to safeguard our existing users from anything unforeseen. By rolling these changes out slowly, we can keep a careful eye on how they’re working, collect feedback, and make any final adjustments.
What To Expect
The first two updates – the myVIP program and those extra 0’s – will appear inside the current version of myVEGAS Slots. The myVIP program allows you to, based on your myVIP level, earn extra chips, view special in-game Rewards, and access priority customer support. You increase your myVIP level by accumulating myVIP Points, or MVP’s, and you accumulate MVP’s by spinning the Daily Bonus Wheel, collecting hourly bonuses, and purchasing chip packages in myVEGAS or any of the other PLAYSTUDIOS apps (if you’re Facebook Connected). If you are part of the myVIP Beta Preview group, a special pop-up screen will appear when you launch the game. In addition, the new myVIP icon will be visible at the top left of your screen. As for all the extra 0’s – this doesn’t really have much effect on the game, since everything is increased by the same amount. Your chip balance will increase, and so will your bet amounts and jackpots. The amount of chips in each purchase bundle will increase as well. The reason for doing this is that it affords us more flexibility with the game and lets us introduce some fun new ways to give away free chips.
Have Questions?
If you don’t see these changes, it means you’re not in the Beta Preview group—yet! There’s no way to manually add yourself, but we’ll be rolling this out to all players over the next several weeks, so you’ll see it soon. If you are one of the players selected to preview these new features and you have questions, start with a visit to our support site where you’ll find some new FAQ’s about myVEGAS 2.0’s increased chip amounts and the new myVIP Program. You can also submit support tickets or visit one of our official myVEGAS Fan Groups. These groups are great sources of community knowledge, and we work very closely with them to ensure that their group admins are well informed.
What Now?
Well, not much. Just keep playing and enjoying myVEGAS. As we approach the official launch of 2.0, we will continue to add new games and other content every couple weeks, just like we always do. And we’ll be sure to let you know when the big day – and the big update – finally arrive.
And, on April 20th, it appears to have been released widely.
Burlingame, CA – April 20, 2017 – PLAYSTUDIOS, a developer of top-ranking, free-to-play casino games today announced that it has released a completely redesigned version of its most popular app – myVEGAS Slots. This update introduces a gorgeous new look, more features, and additional opportunities to collect and share free chips.
Andrew Pascal, CEO of PLAYSTUDIOS, said, “We’re all so excited about this new release. The myVEGAS Slots product team has been working tirelessly for months, reimagining and polishing every last detail. It is the most significant product update we’ve ever shipped. And we hope our players love all the great new stuff that’s gone into it.”
The new myVEGAS Slots is redefined by a crisp and vibrant look. New functionality makes the games, rewards, and special offers easier to find. A new myVIP program offers additional perks for loyal players, including bonus boosters and special purchase offers. A new inbox feature unifies player communication and allows for more frequent collecting and sharing of free chips. And the Challenges and Journeys have been updated, providing new opportunities to earn even more chips and Loyalty Points.
myVEGAS Slots was named “Best of 2016” by two of the gaming industry’s leading publications – iGaming Business and eGaming Review. The app has also earned more than 130,000 5-star ratings and continues to reward loyal players with a growing selection of real world rewards from Las Vegas, Atlantic City, the Caribbean, Australia and the UK.
Enjoy exploring the new interface of the MyVegas Mobile Version 2!
Good luck!!!
POP Slots
Play Studios have, once more, expanded the MyVegas family of apps and games, and added POP Slots, a new mobile game.
As with their last offering – Konami, they seem to be inching away from the MyVegas Loyalty Points.
In this game, they offer you the sense of walking around the Las Vegas MGM Resort Casinos… choosing which game you would like to play, and at what machine. They have even made virtual versions of the casino carpet and decor.
Like the other apps, it is available for both Apple and Android devices, and… (it is VERY important to note, and complete) …your Loyalty Point total is linked, synced (and kept safe) by connecting your profile through Facebook. (So… DO IT, IMMEDIATELY!)
When you load the app, you only have access to the MGM Grand Casino. As you progress, you gain access to the Mirage (and presumably the Excalibur next, as they add properties to the Game.)
As always, you can buy Chips, but they are given free every two hours, in increasing amounts as you progress through the levels… and every 24 hours, you also get a Daily Bonus of Chips.
The games in the casino are similar to the slot games in other MyVegas offerings. For the MGM Grand Casino, the available games are: MGM Grand Mega Star, Frontier Fortune, Emerald 7’s, Around The World In 80 Plays and Race To Oz.
In the Mirage Casino, the available games are: Mirage, Welcome To Fabulous Betrock, Forbidden 7’s, Jack And The Beanstalk, with Wall Of Khan coming soon.
The ‘feel’ of this game is quite similar to walking around a casino… sitting down… interacting a bit with players around you (through an ’emoji’ interface). For me, the critical difference was that playing doesn’t necessarily gain you MyVegas Loyalty Points.
When you choose a game to play, you are given a bank of 8 machines that will be partially filled with other players. They indicate to you the available machines, and the “hottest” machine.
Once you choose a machine, there is a kind of split screen… where you can see the slot machine you are playing, as well as an overview of the bank of four machines you are sitting at, and the players immediately around you.
To begin, you choose the amount of your bet… (it is initially kept small to maximize play, but increases as you advance through levels.)
There is also an Auto button, that will allow you to spin, and bet and never have to look at the game.
However…
The only way to get MyVegas Loyalty Points (Gold Coins) is to pay attention, because at random intervals, you and the players around you will inflate a purple BONUS “POP” balloon, (see image below) which rises from the bank of machines you are “sitting at”… and if you don’t touch the screen to “pop” the balloon… it just drifts away. Sometimes the Bonus will be XP Points, sometimes Chips, and sometimes Loyalty Points.
These POP Bonus balloons seem to be the ONLY way that this game adds to your Loyalty Point total.
There was a PlayStudios questionnaire a few months back, and one of the questions was “Would you play MyVegas, even if there was no loyalty incentive program.” From the increasingly incrementally smaller awards of Loyalty Points, and the fact that you can play this latest game, and (if you aren’t paying attention) not collect ANY Loyalty Points… I’m guessing enough people said “yes”.
The OTHER feature of POP Slots, and one that seems to be evolving, is interacting with, and getting benefits from, those players at the machines “around you”. You are able to “greet”, “congratulate” and “thank” the players sitting in your bank of machines, when they arrive, when they do well, and when they hit a shared bonus… by tapping on the emojis that appear at the bottom left of the screen.
The shared portion of the Bonus Round starts when any player in your bank of four machines gets 3 ‘FREE SPIN’ icons on their slot machine game screen. The options that follow are different, depending on the Casino, and the Game being played… but all the active players in your bank of four machines, benefit and play the same Bonus Round. (It should be noted, that just “sitting” at a machine doesn’t make you eligible for the Bonus Rewards, and that the amount you are betting, determines the amount of your Bonus Reward.)
The POP Slots game is fun, as it has a completely different feel… and more of a “Casino” atmosphere… (as much as you can in the virtual world). As long as you are aware of how the game works, it is a fun time!
If you are ONLY playing for Loyalty Points, and don’t have time to pay attention to the games… this one might not be for you.
Good luck!
NB: As always, I make no claim to owning the rights to any of these images… they are screen-caps of my game play, and I use them simply to promote the MyVegas (in this case, Konami) brand. And I run this Blog with their inferred approval. (Inasmuch as they haven’t said not to.) And, it should be said, (other than the benefits available to ALL MyVegas players), I receive no special deals, offers or bonuses from the folks at MyVegas, Konami or PlayStudios.

The folks at Play Studios have, again, expanded the MyVegas family of apps and games. In addition to the Facebook Version of MyVegas, the online MyVegas app, and the MyVegas BlackJack app… there is now also the Konami Slots App.
Like the other apps, it is available for both Apple and Android devices, and… (it is VERY important to note, and complete) …your Loyalty Point total is linked, synced (and kept safe) by connecting your profile through Facebook. (So… DO IT, IMMEDIATELY!)
Like the other MyVegas apps, this Game is (other than contributing to your Loyalty Point tally) completely independent of other MyVegas games and apps. You start with 0 XP Points, at Level 1, playing the Konami Slot Game, Lotus Land. As you progress through Levels, you gain access to the other Konami Slot Games: Spellbound Princess, Lion Festival, Bull Mystery, China Mystery and Masked Ball Nights. (The last two games have the added Bonus of available Jackpots)
As you advance through the Levels, and at 4 hour intervals, you are awarded “SL Tickets“, which you can redeem in the SL Bonus Game. (Basically a big pink Cat slot machine.) It takes 5 tickets per spin… and the prizes can be rewarded in the form of further SL tickets, XP Points to advance through the Levels faster, Red Playing Chips… or as it happens, sometimes you get nothing!
Once a day, there is a “Daily Spin” Wheel Bonus, where you can win SL Tickets or Red Playing Chips. As part of this Bonus, there is a daily multiplier, where you can get up to 3 times what you “spin” (providing you play every day.)
And, at various times you may, or may not, be able to watch 30 second video ads, in exchange for Bonus Red Playing Chips. (On this app, the amount of Red Playing Chips you receive varies, as you progress through Game Levels.)
(You can click on any thumbnail on the left to see the screen capture images, in a larger pop-up gallery)
Good luck!

Two New MyVegas Games
A busy week for the MyVegas / Playstudios folk, as they unveiled ‘Around The World In 80 Plays’ on the Mobile App, and ‘The Misadventures of Sheerluck Hound’ on the Facebook Version.
The Misadventures of Sheerluck Hound
This is a five reel Slot Game, with icons based on the characters of Arthur Conan Doyle’s Sherlock Holmes books. (Sheerluck Hound, evil genius Professor Meowiarti, Doctor Wheaten, Miss Adler, pistol, smoking pipe, deerstalker hat, magnifying glass… as well as wild icons and more.
As you collect the ‘Investigate Bonus’ Paw icons, you collect paws in the magnifying glass handle, at the bottom of the reel area. Turn all the 16 paws to gold, and you enter the Bonus Game round.
The Bonus Game is a ‘find the object’ style of game, where you are given a limited amount of time to find six items in the picture, which are ‘hiding in plain sight.’
In the image above, you need to find the six items listed at the bottom of the picture… (dagger, burlap sack, lock, rope, wood pile and shamrock.) (FYI… If you close the game and restart it, the items change.)
If you do not find all the items, you have to collect gold paws again, in order to have a chance to re-play the scene again, with new items.
As you successfully progress through each of these ‘crime scenes’, there are clues, which the characters use to try to solve the ‘crimes’ that nefarious evil genius Meowiarti, has committed.
Once you get through ALL the different scenes, you have to ‘solve’ where Miss Adler is, and when you guess right, there is a Bonus Reward of Chips.
Around The World In 80 Plays
The ‘Around The World In 80 Plays’ Game is a Mobile version of the Facebook Game.
Like the Sheerluck Hound game, it is a ‘find the object’ style of game, where you are given a limited amount of time to find objects in the picture, which are ‘hiding in plain sight.’
The character tiles in this game (not surprisingly) are based on Jules Verne’s “Around the World In 80 Days” with the familiar characters of Mr. Fogg, Passepartout, Detective Fix and Ms. Aouda… and other icons from the ’80 Days’ theme… passports, telescopes, compass, and sextant, as well as Travel icons. Not sure why, but the main character in the game is a lady not in the book.
The premise is to travel around the globe, in 80 days or less. The journey starts (and ends) in England, and goes to destinations in Africa, India, Japan and Spain.
The game starts in the regular spinning reels game, where you collect Bonus Travel icons, representing transportation appropriate for that portion of the journey… boat, train, plane, hot air balloon and (OF COURSE) elephant. #DUH (In the image below, the BOAT BONUS icon can be seen at the bottom left.)
At each of the five destinations, there is a bonus screen, with a “find the mystery objects in the picture” bonus round.
The object is to find six objects from the list, in the quickest amount of time. During the challenge, at the bottom left of the screen, the remaining days count down. You can gauge, depending on how long it takes to find the items, whether you want to keep your results, or retry that leg of the challenge. You also get varying amounts of free spins, based on how quickly you complete the challenge.
It is great that the folks at PlayStudios continue to develop and tweak games and are open to feedback. THAT is a big part of what is making MyVegas continue to thrive, and be successful. (Apart from the rewards, of course)
Good luck !!!
Bet Rock N’ Roll
Play Studios’ new mobile game Bet Rock n’ Roll launched last week on Android and iOS.
This is a new version of the original FB game ‘BetRock’ with an added bonus round.
The folks at MyVegas were disappointed BetRock didn’t include an extra bonus round, when they launched the game, last year on Facebook… so they added one in for the mobile game Bet Rock N’ Roll.
Good luck !!!
